Hello
Can anyone tell me how to get zeobit ut of my iMac?
something called zeobit is trying to take control of my Safari browser, and I dont knw how to get rid of them. I now can't use Safari, unless I click on the Zeobit window, which i do not want to do.
Thanks for any advice.

Looks to me like you installed MacKeeper. To get rid of "zeobit"...try this:

Getting Rid of MacKeeper | Rixstep Learning Curve

If this doesn't help...try doing a Google search for "Macintosh how to get rid of zeobit". And try some other removal suggestions.

What a pity folk do not ask about Mackeeper prior to installing and running.

It is carper.

I did not install Mackeeper.
What has happened is that the following message suddenly appeared in front of my Safari browser;
The heading is ' http://rz.zeobit.com.

"initializing your link. This is a one-time procedure for new users or links added to the database. Please reload this page in 15 minutes. If this message still appears, please contact support"
- I can only remove the message by clicking the 'OK' button on the message.
I have not clicked the buttone, because I do not want zeobit, and I do not know who or what it is.
I just force quit Safari, and am now using only Firefox. ~But I would like to be able to use Safari again, if I knew how to get rid of this zeobit stuff.

Download and install Ad Block for Safari from here. You might also want to download and install Ghostey from here. With both of them installed in Safari, that should get rid of the zeobit pop up.
