IOMEGA HDD Problems

I have an IOMEGA HDD external hard drive with ALL my music and photos on it. It will not mount to my iMac. It worked up until about 2 weeks ago. I am running OS X 10.9.4. HELP!!!!!

Oh, and I read some of the other threads in here and:

1. Yes, I have tried a new cable
2. I went into the disk utillity and found it there, but it says it needs to be repaired and that iMac can't repair it so I need to restore the disk. How can I back up a disk that doesn't mount?

Am I missing something?????????

It won't read on my Windows 8 laptop either.

Sounds like it has died. These days always have at least two current backups. You might like to invest in DiskWarrior if the contents are valuable.
