My HP Printer is not scanning. I am trying the UNINSATLL/RE-INSTALL route but do not kmow how to uninstall from my OS 10.6

To delete a printer open System Preferences and click Print & Fax. Installed printers are listed on the left.
Select the printer you're deleting and click the (-) button. You can add a new printer using the + button but in most cases the printer must be connected when you do this.
