Ok, I am trying to create an image in Photoshop Elements 3 and Photoshop CS2. However, one thing I need to do is color one part of the text red. Easy right? Wrong.

It will only let me use shades of white and black in both programs. I check a billion times to make sure that red was selected in the palatte but it only shows up as gray.

What's going on here?

In the menu bar, click "Image" at the top.

Hold your mouse over "Mode".

On the slide out menu, select "RGB Color" or "CMYK Color" depending on what color style you want.

It seems you have "Grayscale" selected. :mac: That should do it!
