I have an iMac 21" that is just over a year old running Mavericks. In the last couple of weeks several times the mac is losing connection to the BT Hub which is 3 months old. When I try to re-connect to it the Mac asks for the password. So I input the password and the Mac rejects the password. However if I restart the Mac it will connect to the router again automatically as normal. Has anyone got any suggestions as to why this is occurring ?
Any help would be appreciated.

G'day and welcome to the forums.

What security does the hub use? Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi? And suggest try to set up another account in System Preferences > Network.

I also use British Telecom for my broadband, mainly using WiFi, and in my experience this happens, from time to time. My Hub is set to WPA/WPA2 security.
Are you sure that it is not just the connection dropping out?
