So I have a PM G5 2.5 quad 8GB ram and if im using safari and I go to google images it gets soo slow. The same thing actually happens just with googles search as well since it is constantly refreshing as you type. I understand the software is old but the hardware should be more than capable of loading google search. Anyway, has anyone else come across this? If so, did you maybe use an alternate web browser to try and cure the issue? Thanks.

I haven't worked out the images problem yet but I think I can fix the issue with updating the search as you type. Google added this "feature" some time ago and it annoys some people. Try this fix:

1. Load the main Google page google.com
2. At the bottom of the page choose Settings
3. Pick Search Settings and adjust the Instant Search setting to your liking.

Ok thanks, ill give it a try. Also, its probably worth mentioning that when it does get slow it makes safari lock up and then asks me if I want to stop a script because it is running too slow.

Its not even just google. A lot of websites do this. Tiger direct gives me problems, and american muscle which is a website that sells mustang parts gives me a HUGE amount of problems. Cant even buy parts on the G5 lol.

On my older Powerbook, I got in the habit of disabling plug-ins, Java and Javascript unless specifically required. Helped a lot.
