am on my iMac and hear nothing. Anyone else have sound?

Thanks for the heads up Dennis. I noticed at the beginning that Google put up a message about sound. I had the Google screen in the background but System Prefs says there was sound.

Since it appears there wasn't sound I'll try to ferret out the problem and re-do the broadcast same time tomorrow.

Sunday Chat 7/6/14

I know many of you are still celebrating Independence Day but if you can make the chat here's the link. 7/6/14 Sunday Chat

How frequently do you have chats and what is the format?

I try to do them every Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Central Time. Right now we are using the Google Hangouts feature because that allows the chat to be broadcast on YouTube so our members can see it. We initially started with a couple of outer co-hosts to liven things up a bit.

August 31 chat

Looks like I won't make the weekly chat. I'm a bit under the weather (nothing major). The MB pPro is a bit under the weather as well. The power chord fried Thursday night and new one won't be here till Tuesday.

Hope you're feeling better. I don't know what's up with Apple power cords lately, keep reading about them failing. Must have been a bad batch out of China.

Think it is just a minor problem. Been asleep off and on most of the day.

This was my original power cord from 2008. Battery must have run down as we'll by the time I noticed. The cord had that distinctive burning electronics smell. Hopefully that's all that's wrong. I'd like a new Mac but the budget says no.

Hi Sly.... - hope that all will be well! I was waiting for your invite - no problem. Susan & I will be going out of town next Sunday - our annual visit to her mother in Montauk, LI - a 'mixed blessing' w/ the positives for us eating lobsters, steamers, & oysters! YUM! Dave
