Photoshop opens at startup or when I connect iPad to iMac

Even though I have unchecked "Open at Login" on the Adobe Photoshop app and it is not listed for startup, it opens automatically when I start my iMac and when I connect my iPad. Any suggestions? :'(

2011 27" iMac, 1TB(partitioned) SSD, 20GB, OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan
Double check your System Preferences -> Users & Groups > Login Items and make sure PS is not listed.
