Problems with my Segate 2TB drive and Imac

Hi

I have just got a 2TB Segate external Hard drive and i can copy files to it from my Imac but when i want to copy from my Desktop running windows XP or from my laptop running Ubuntu 14.04 my drive says that it is only a read only drive.

I have formatted the Hard drive to Os extend

I think you have answered your own question viz. "I have formatted the to Os extend".
