Mail not showing in Inbox

On my Ipad Air I have 3 messages showing against the mail icon at the bottom of the screen but they are not showing in my inbox so I cannot access them. - Help.

Silly me - solved. Somehow I had changed my settings to show a single inbox but I have another as well as iCloud. It took my young daughter to tell me that I needed the ALL Inboxes setting.
Thanks for looking and thinking about it anyway.
