New to iPod

I just got a new third generation 10GB iPod. I have the windows setup, I have about 9 gigs of data i want to store on my iPod while i reformat my drive to clean things up a bit. I was wondering if i could do this while still keeping my music or if i have to turn the whole thing into data mode.

Yes you can still have your music on there while using the iPod as a firewire disk. You just have to enable firewire disc mode in iTunes
