I wanted to know if apple was the only company that made the mini-dvi to s-video cord. Also I wanted to know if that cord is compatible with G3 iBooks because doing a little research online it keeps saying for G4 Powerbooks, but I don't know if I can trust them. Thanks!

Dvi is a digital output which none of the iBooks currently have.
So that is definitely the wrong cord for you.

Depending on your iBook model, you either need a mini VGA -> S-Video or apple's special AV cable -> VGA or composite and then an adapter to S-Video.

How fast is your iBook?

I've got a G3 700 mhz dual usb.
Yeah I looked around a little more and realized that you were definately right. So what do I need to buy to be able to hook up my computer to a tv... I want to use either RCA or S-video.
