searching through docs

Hi, I wonder if there is any program to search through my numerous MSWord docs, for the Mac is very weak when asked for some contents I try to find back. Thanks.

Spotlight won't search through documents for it only searches metadata.

Yes, but a Finder search will not work if the drive is not indexed, will it?
