Hi, I just tried to extract a .tar file from an external hard drive by double clicking, but it filled my Macbook drive instead during the process so I cancelled. BUT, the storage it used up (about 100GB) was not cleared up, so Im assuming that it has stored parts of the extraction somewhere on my Macbook.

Does anyone know which folder it stores/saves in when extracting so i can delete it?

Thank you

Tarballs are generally extracted to the directory in which they are located unless you specify otherwise. How did you extract it?
