So I am going to completely wipe my Macbook Pro clean. Start over and install everything before I sell it. However, I want to make sure I have my iTunes backed up for my new MacBook I'm getting. What is the best way to do this? Should I just use iCloud? iTunes Match?

You can do it that way, but it might be a good idea to also copy your iTunes library to an external hard drive or large enough flash drive as an additional backup. Make sure you also copy all your playlists. I have my library copied to an external hard drive and keep it up to date.

i copied all files to an external drive then imported them back. I didn't have any issues.
