I keep getting scary messages. Are they a problem?

I recently moved into a house and have been using the wireless. Usually every day at some point I cannot sign into Facebook or gmail and I get a message like this:

"Something is currently interfering with your secure connection to Google.

Try to reload this page in a few minutes or after switching to a new network. If you have recently connected to a new Wi-Fi network, finish logging in before reloading."

My roommate in charge of wireless says it always happens and it's nothing to worry about. Is he wrong? Should we reset our password or something else or is it nothing to worry about?

Yes, he is wrong because that's not normal.

What router are you using? It's possible that the setup wasn't completed properly.

What model of Cisco router? Have you gone through a set it up from scratch? Does it give you any error messages about missing information?

My roommate said she didn't get error messages. She isn't sure what it means to be set up from scratch. She bought the router new and checked with our internet provider to see if it's compatible.

Do you suggest reinstalling from scratch?

How did she set it up? All I meant by suggesting that one "set it up from scratch" was to suggest that you/her reconfigure it. Essentially, I'm suggesting that it's improperly configured since these issues affect multiple machines (thus, the router is the shared object).
