Play ut 2004 on intel mac, running mavericks

Nope...can't do it. The last OS version where this might have been possible was OS 10.6.

I have Unreal Tournament 2004. It starts but the screen is jumbled with lines. It does work sometimes, but not a lot. Help.

If you're getting Unreal Tournament 2004 to work on an Intel Mac running Mavericks...then this is a seriously updated version...since this ga,e was originally PPC Mac's only.

The jumbled lines you mention may be due to a graphics incompatability between the game & Mavericks...and/or newer Mac hardware.

Maybe you can tell us exactly:

- what version of Unreal Tournamant you have unstalled?
- where you got it from?
- did you have it running fine on another Mac/other Mac OS version?

That's exactly what I was thinking Harry. OP may be using an extremely updated version of this 2004 game. Updated to work with Lion (OS 10.7)...but not anything newer (10.8 or 10.9).

......or, just install Windows 7 on a Boot Camp partition, and install UT2004 there. Works well for me.
