I just updated my 10.6 to 10.8. I had a partition with boot camp but it is gone now. Can I get it back without starting over?

So how does the disk look in Disk utility?

Is OSX taking up the space that once held bootcamp?

You need to use Disk Utility as member "mrplow" suggested to see if your Boot Camp partition is still there. When you upgraded to Mountain Lion, it created a Recovery partition in addition to the normal OS X partition. It's possible that your Boot Camp partition is still there but you can no longer boot to it.

Sorry for the delayed response but thanks all. The partition was corrupted and could not be repaired. I guess I learned this lesson the hard way but I thought the partition would protect windows. I was able to recreate most of the vital files so it wasn't a total disaster, just a pain. Mac support says it has never happened before but I suspect it has, hopefully this will save someone else.
