Good morning.

I'm running iOS 7 on an iPhone 5. Yesterday morning, an icon I have not seen before showed up in the bar at the top of my screen. The icon is a small padlock with a partial circle around it and the partial circle has an arrow at one end. I have searched the internet and found examples of that icon image but no explanation for what it means, what caused it to appear, or how to turn it off. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

You have activated Orientation Lock. All you need to do is swipe up to get the Control Centre and then the icon on the far right touch that, and Orientation Lock will be off

Done :)

Yup, that did it! Thanks. Now I remember my granddaughter playing with my iPhone yesterday. She must have tapped it then. Have a great day.
