I have a Macbook Pro running OS X 7.5.2. Recently my hard drive shows that it is full. All of the items(audios, movies, photos, videos, apps) show 0 except for Other which shows 499.99 gigs (hd is 500 gigs). I keep getting the "your hard drive is full" message but I cannot seem to find any of these rogue files. All of my other files seem intact and accessible. Not sure how to approach this problem. Anyone come across this before?

You might want to give this blog post a read. It describes the problem and links to some software that should help you figure out what to remove.

BTW are you using Time Machine for backups. If so, some of the space may be taken up by local snapshot files.
