After trying to install new memory on my 2007 MacBook Pro I reattached the battery. When the computer wouldn't turn on I checked the battery. It's working. I tried to remove the battery and one of the two spring releases isn't releasing the battery. I need to remove the battery again to reinstall the new memory. Any advice on how to remove the battery so I can get access to the memory slots? Thanks.

Try pushing down firmly on the battery next to each release clip while you try and slide the release away from the battery.

God only knows if the release clip is truly broken. Maybe a job for a Dremmel tool to cut away that corner of there battery.

It's just plastic under the battery corner - I know as I'm looking at the old battery I recently replaced in my late 2007 MBPro 15".
