Wondering if my MBP,iPad or iPhones need a pure sine inverter? I currently have several verizon and USB ports adapters in my work van. None of which will charge any of my apple gear , except my 5c. Always gives an error message, but battery symbol turns green and says its not charging.
So I have my choice of a $99 schumacher 1500w mod. Or a Xantrex $260 1000w pure sine wave.

Either one will suit my needs as I just charge a bunch of Milwaukee 18v batteries full time and then the iPad for invoices and credit card charges.
So far this only lights up the first bar on the Schumacher maybe two=20%

Don't want any issues using a mod, and I've read conflicting stories.
