BTGuard problems

I installed BTGuard and started using Vuze on friday. On Saturday I started have problems with my screen going blank and the computer shutting down unexpectedly. Has anybody else had these problems?

Uninstall BTGuard and see if the problems go away. In any event, Torrenting is dangerous regardless of how much protection you "think" you have.

Is Vuze still a Java-oriented piece of junk? I've had a number of clients that have had issues with it. The solution was to uninstall it and stop stealing stuff.

Not to mention that Vuze installs a bunch of crapware along with it.

That raises an interesting point chas m.

There was comment in a US Federal Court about the difference between 'stealing' and piracy. One of the criminal proofs required for theft is 'depriving the owner of the use of his/her goods' which piracy does not do as it makes an illegal copy, infringing various copyrights. May deprive the copyright owner of income but not use of the property.

As said many times 'The law is an ***'. Shame International Courts do not define Piracy as theft and go from there. Alas much of the law is still in the 1800's!
