"Places" hidden when trying to "saveas"

Any suggestions on how to "unhide" places when doing a saveas? I always used to be able to do this and somehow my settings got changes.

Unhide which locations? The only folder hidden by default is your user library folder which you can unhide by following these directions.

When you try a Save As, look to the right of where you type the files name and click on the little arrow, that will expand all the places again
