I was trying to save a document into a sub-folder, and instead I accidentally clicked on the title of the document below the name of the subfolder in the finder window. It saved my document by writing over the previous document and giving it the previous document's name. Now I'm panicking slightly because I need the original file! How do I get it back? I can't undo, it gave me no warning asking if I wanted to write over the first document, and it's not in the trash.

Only option is to restore the previous version from a recent backup.
Don't forget to rename the file you last saved or you will loose that one too :)
