You could also use OnyX, go to Parameters, where you can change folder, format, file name etc, etc ... It's a brilliant, free app, that everyone should have on their Macs ;)

Thanks for these suggestions, especially about using OnyX which I just started using seriously.

I didn't realize OnyX had so many additional features and it was the only thing that was able to finally fix the strange multiple listed "Fetching... " names in the permissions for some of my users folders, i.e.: Desktop folder etc.

Now I can finally setup a folder for all my screenshots I seem to take that I've been thinking about attempting to do for some 20+ Mac using years!!

So another vote and use for OnyX that so many here have suggested for other things as well.

Thanks.

Just in case, it might be useful to someone else, as there are so many options in OnyX:

OR, if you have Dropbox, the latest version, when you take your screenshot, it will prompt you to see if you want to save them in the Dropbox folder. This also changes the format from .png to .jpeg if you want it too. I find this handy, to have my screenshots on multiple Computers.

Now we've got all kinds of choices, just like a good Mac OS should have.

PS: I don't seem to have any 'com.apple.screencapture.plist' file on my Macerick install that they were referring to.

I'll try at least one of the suggestions later, and thanks for the posts and solution replies. ;-)
