Remote desktop from macbook into windows server

I have used three different clients (on a macbookpro running mavericks )remoting into windows server and each locks the login and prompts for password after 30 mn of idleness.This is not occurring in iPad or windows machines.The 3 clients rae Windows remote desktop fo rmac, 2X and CoRD.
Any assistance would be welcome to allow me to stay logged in even after 30 mn of idleness which im able to do on iPad or windows PC.

Is it just the client that's idle for 30 minutes or is your Mac idle too?

just the client, I've run a bash to ping router too, to ensure connection doesn't drop
