Dvd-r play?

I AM WORKING AN IMAC, 10.7.5.
I AM SCANNING COLOR PHOTO TO MY HARD DISK, WORKING ON THEM WITH Photo shop, adding copy and down loading thom to a DVD"R.

The recipients are having playing the new disk.

I check each on on my Computer and my TV.

And what is the result.

The problem may be that...your iMac's Superdrive may be capable of writing certain DVD types (-R, +R, etc.)...and the other folks DVD players cannot.
