I've heard that the battery on that camera was dead, which is why it wouldn't turn on.
But making fun of the Sony guy was just cruel. I'd like to se the person who edited that video try to give a presentation in Japanese, in front of a thousand people, and not get hung up a few times. Cut him a break. (As I recall, he got thunderous applause anyway.)
