Hi there,

I have an 'old' but cherished 2007 MacBook Pro.

I am thinking of buying an external monitor AOC i2369Vm.

Are there compatibility problems regarding connecting ports etc?

According to this info regarding in / outputs I should be ok

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3188

But online I've seen a few users who've complained of problems but no answers were forthcoming when they posted their issues.

If there aren't any problems, then great. But if so, are there any suggestions regarding compatible and similarly - priced monitors?

Thanks a lot for your help, Adrian

As long as the video output from your MacBook Pro matches an input port on the external monitor, you should be OK. For example, your MacBook Pro has a DVI output connector so you would need a DVI adapter and cable to connect to the DVI input on the monitor - assuming the monitor has a DVI input.

Other than some older Apple monitors from (2005 & earlier)...I've rarely come across a computer monitor that an Apple computer can't use. As chscag mentioned...is some/many cases...a video adapter will be needed.
