Use my laptop as a second display for my MacPro

Can I use my macbook pro 15", late 2013 model, as a second display for my Mac Pro? I have a Thunderbolt display that is my primary display but want to use my laptop display as a second one, any ideas?

Just did a cursory search and the preliminary results suggest that can't be done entirely through hardware. I used to use http://www.screenrecycler.com/ScreenRecycler.html to do that back in the day. It was a little slow at the time. There are other programs that should do the same thing.

I haven't tested this in quite a while the speed might have improved.
