Transferring MP3 files

Mid 2011 27" i7 iMac iPad Air iPhone 6 iPod Classic Sierra
I have a language course stored on my iMac as a series of MP3 files. I would like to transfer them to my iPod Classic so that I can go through the lessons when I am away from the computer. How do I transfer them to the iPod from my iMac?

Copy the MP3 files to your iTunes library and then sync your iPod to iTunes. You should, however, keep the language files separate in a playlist and just sync the playlist to your iPod. Should work well.
