Capturing video (tape)

Hello I have a macbook pro 15". I am trying to get video from my Sony video cam (dcr-trv350) to my computer and then to my external drive. I have 70-80 tapes to transfer. I have a dv to usb cable, from what I have seen, you need a dv to firewire cable for tape. But I only have lightning bolt ports.

So can this be done?
What cables/adapters would I need?
Is there a way to capture right to my external drive?
