I recently got a macbook pro to use for photography and I bought Parallels to go with it so that I could put my PC Photoshop on my Mac. I have the Parallels set up on my Mac but cannot figure out how to get it to run my programs. It says I need to install windows itself before I can continue. Is there a way to connect my old PC's windows to this mac? Or do I have to buy windows and put it on my mac?

Virtual machine software such as Parallels, Fusion, etc, do not include a copy of whatever operating system you wish to run with it. So yes, you need a legal copy of Windows to install within Parallels. And no, you can not use the version you're running on your PC.

Are you sure this was a better idea than just calling Adobe and asking to transfer your licence to the Mac version (though I guess they're only supporting that for CS6 now ...)

That's what I thought, either that, or an upgrade to a Mac version, which would probably cost around the same, as Parallels + Windows :\
