Play Zoombinis on a Macbook Pro

So, I've been searching far and wide across the world wide web and there has been no way that I have found to be able to play the fantastic childhood game zoombinis on my macbook pro. Is there anyone out there who has figured it out or may know a sure fire way that I can do this. I have OpenEmu that lets me play gameboy and nintendo games; is there something similar to that? but I couldn't figure out how to use the downloaded files. It is rare that I am unable to figure these kinds of things out so if someone could help out I would GREATLY appreciate it.

The company that produced the game has been working on a new version of it. You can download a version for iPad or Android at Zoombinis | A Puzzle Game by TERC. They should be done by the OSX version by the beginning of October.
