Hi,
My Mac-Mini is having an issue with wireless and USB peripherals after removing, IOUSBFamily.kext, IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext,
IOFireWireSerialBusProtocolTransport.kext
After reboot, I could not login or access my machines using the keyboard or mouse.

Is there anyway that I can recover this issue.? Could someone help me on this please.?

Thanks
Nandhu

I have to ask... why did you remove those kernel extensions? The only way I know how to recover is to reinstall Mavericks. Boot your Mini to the Recovery Partition (hold down command + r keys) and from there either restore Mavericks from your Time Machine backup, or if you haven't been making backups, download and reinstall Mavericks from Apple.

Mac Mini OSX 10.9 IO peripherals are not working

Thanks for the reply.

I was trying to disable the USB ports for a testing but accidentally I removed the IOUSBFamily.kext file too and rebooted.

Boot your Mini to the Recovery Partition (hold down command + r keys)
My keyboard and mouse are not working after many reboots. how to boot or use the keys.?

Please suggest me on this.

Thanks
Nandhu

If you're using a wireless keyboard and mouse, they won't work in that situation. You need a wired keyboard and mouse until Mavericks is reinstalled. You can use any wired USB keyboard - even a Windows model, and any USB wired mouse.

[Resolved] Mac Mini OSX 10.9 IO peripherals are not working after deleting iousbfami

Thank You All. My issue got resolved.

I was not having time machine backup or partition or internet, Luckinly I was having those deleted files in my Trash. I logged in the boot option (Command + R) and used Terminal utility to move back my removed files to original place and manually rebooted.
Now my system is back and running good. Thanks once again.
