Hello! I am looking to replace an A1342 Macbook keyboard that was water damaged. However, I won't be replacing the whole palmrest/keyboard/top cover unit, I am looking to only remove and replace the keyboard. Although unconventional, it will be cheaper. This guy did it successfully as well:

Anyway, I am searching around for compatible replacements for the A1342, but all I'm finding at good prices currently are either Macbook Pro keyboards (A1278, A1286, A1297), or the non-Pro, Macbook A1181 keyboards.

I've heard the Macbook Pro backlit keyboards will not work (is that in itself true?). But will the non-backlit, non-Pro, A1181 keyboards work for the A1342?
This question is somewhat time sensitive as I'll need to order the keyboard soon, especially if I'm ordering it from China.

Thank you all for your help. God bless you guys! :)
