Aperture library sharing

Good day,

I have read that a library of Aperture can't be shared since it can cause corruption.

My library stand on my iMac but I would like to have my pictures available on my macbook pro too.

Also, I suppose there is no way to import my photos to the macbook pro then to transfer them to the library on my iMac?

Not used Aperture for years. Lightroom user and doing this in LR is dead easy. It looks like Aperture does something similar.
