I saw that story on MSN.com the other day. Sad really. I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often given the number of people who do this every day several times a day.

I think the current trend of integrating text message reading into car systems may almost as bad. People don't multi-task as well as they think.

I believe it was last year that we read of four young women who died in a head on car crash in upper New York State. The accident was attributed to texting while driving.

Any kind of distraction while driving is dangerous especially the type of distraction which requires you taking your eyes off the road even for a few seconds.

Riding a motorcycle at 140 MPH is just plain stupid and suicidal. Riding any motorcycle is dangerous enough at legal speeds... and that's usually because other drivers do not give cycle riders any consideration. You're right though, that guy is indeed lucky to be alive.

Taking a selfie & posting it while driving is Darwin's theory of evolution at it best. Unfortunately (many times)...innocent folks also get injured with stunts like this.
