Is the a way to move a backup from my laptop to iCloud?

Hi guys,

I recently backed up and sold my iPad 2. I will buy an iPad air this week but will be in a different city. Is there a way to move my backup to the iCloud storage so I can load the new iPad remotely?

Not that I know of. If you backed up your iPad 2 only to your Mac, then that's where the restore will have to come from. It's very easy to backup an iPhone or iPad to both your Mac and iCloud. That way you can restore from any location as long as you have access to iCloud.
