Using clipboard to save application data

How can I save application data with CLIPBOARD to save for later use?

Given the cost of a license my guess is that they have blocked access to the copy/paste functions knowing that someone might use that to bypass the save limitation. This is not uncommon in what is essentially vertical market software. Most vertical software thaw a small number of sales per year compared to other titles. They're going to take lots of steps to make sure users actually purchase a license.
