Hi,
For iMac : How can I select multiple sequential files without individually clicking command select. For example…if I want to select file 1 to file 500…how can I choose all 500 at once??

Are you sure you used shift-click? Command-click does what you are describing, but shift-click selects everything in between.

but shift-click selects everything in between.
But only in List view. In Icon view it works the same as Cmd click.

Unlikely the OP is using Icon View since the example uses 500 files! But in Icon View, you click next to a file and then make a box with the second click and you'll capture all the files in the box or touched by the edges of the box.
