Home screen magnifies in pocket

A lot of times, when I take my iphone 5 out of my pocket, the home screen has become magnified - that is, the icons are larger, don't all fit on the screen, and I can't fix it without restarting the phone.
Is this a settings issue, or something else I can change?

you can also drag the screen around with 3 fingers

Settings - General - Accessiblity - Zoom - turn it off

Okay, for a start -- if you are taking your iPhone out of your pocket and its on and unlocked, something is wrong

Tom probably has the fix there, but if you've got your phone set not to auto-lock/sleep and no password/authentication on it, you're begging for this thing to get stolen.
