Hi all,
I have a I-mac I7 which i bought beginning of 2013. Unfortunately i have to run parallels on it for Quickbooks Pro 2013 Windows. I currently have XP. I now have to upgrade to 2014 so it works with my CPA version. They keep on changing it every year. :(
I am looking at windows 8 but it has two versions 32 bit and 64 bit. I don't know what would work? Please help.

Your Mac is 64bit I would get the 64bit version.
What OS are you running and if you have not updated to 10.9.2 I would do that first and its free.

Also since i am not familiar with windows 7 or windows 8 running on iMac. What is the preference for most people. I heard #7 is very good. Or should one always go with the newest software out there?

I would go for Windows 7. Better interface, easier to use, and very stable. It's actually one of the better versions of Windows from MS. Give Window 8 and 8.1 a pass or wait for Windows 9. ;)
