mac pictures on facebook

I upload my pictures from my mac to Facebook then I try to delete them from my mac but when I do it says they will be deleted from Facebook as well can this be avoided I know my pc did not do this. thanks:[

That shouldn't happen. How exactly are you uploading them?

You making copies of the photos to the desktop and then sending them to FaceBook?

pictures

I load them onto my mac, store them in 1photo and then click on them to upload right from the iPhoto icon on the mac.
