My new to me iMac is working fine other wise. It will go to store.apple.com, it will go to discussions.apple.com but not apple.com.
specs, Safari 6.1.3, OS X 10.8.5
I've reset Safari, reinstalled Safari.
I've tried turning off ghostery, add blocker, Don't track me, none of these changes makes any difference.
edit: cleaned out cookies and website data.
