I have an iMac Intel core i5 w/ 16G ram. Bought it used with lots of software. Upgraded from 10.8.2 to 10.8.5, and some of the extra software won't run now. Mainly I'm concerned with CS5.1. My use of CS is low-volume, I don't need cutting edge, and I cannot afford the new by-the-month rental or whatever they call it. But I do need it, and it seemed to be working before the OS upgrade.
So. Is there a way to go back to 10.8.2? I sure do wish I'd done some investigating before I upgraded, but I didn't.
Semi-separate question: I can get an unopened copy of Lightroom 4 (full) at a good price; if you're familiar with it can you tell me how it differs from Photoshop, and whether it will run on my current system, or on my regressed 10.8.2, if that is possible to do?
I'd be grateful for any help.
Thanks so much!
Judy
