xCode 5 Label, Button, etc help

Okay, so in xCode 5 I try and place a button on another picture, and it turns the whole screen white, making my other picture disappear. Anyone know why this is?

You are doing all of this in IB I presume. How did you put the picture on there to begin with? Without providing enough detail about what you are doing, have done, we can't really help you..
