Changing default Apple ID

Although I have changed my e-mail address in my Apple account the old address still comes up if I try to access the App Store. Result I can't access the App Store. I've tried to change it in Settings but the old e-mail address is the only option and it is "greyed" so that I can't change it. What to do?

Edit:
Didn't notice you were in the iOS forum - not enough coffee yet.
You need to sign out of the old one and sign in to the new one.

Settings - iTunes & App Store - touch the Apple ID - then hit sign out
