Hello all!
My Mid-2009 Macbook Pro was recently stolen. However, I'd been using Time Machine and saving backups on an external hard drive that was NOT stolen. I thought it was mainly for getting your computer back to a healthy state in case of a virus or something but someone said they thought you could port a Time Machine backup to a new computer with all your data.
Is this true?!
My old Macbook was running Snow Leopard and had a 320gb hard drive. If I were to get a 2012 model Macbook with a 500gb hard drive and running Mavericks, would I be able to port over all my info to the new computer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
